Boucher Guitars

Boucher Guitars logo on headstock

Founded in 2005, Boucher may be the most important Canadian guitar maker you never heard of! But in fact, the Boucher name has been part of the eastern Canada guitar community for decades and the history of the Boucher family is intertwined with other prominent eastern Canada makers like Robert Godin.

Today, Robin Boucher and his company supply thousands of Adirondack spruce soundboards to many distinguished makers, and they were the first to introduce torrified tops that can produce vintage-quality tone even in new instruments.

Located in Berthier-sur-Mer, Québec - in the natural domain of the northern red spruce, Picea Rubens - Adirondack spruce tonewood literally grows right outside their door. Boucher keeps the best soundboards for themselves, using this coveted material to build truly remarkable instruments in a timeless, traditional style.

Boucher is a small workshop, and we are the only stocking dealer for Boucher Guitars in the entire northeast United States. It is worth a drive to play and hear these distinctive instruments.

HG-56 000 12-fret

Boucher describes their Heritage Goose HG-56 000 12-fret model as "the perfect guitar for your fingerstyle projects." Right out of the box it has exceptional volume and tone.

If it sounds this good immediately, one can only imagine how it will break in over the years. SG-41 OM Hybrid

The SG-41 OM Hybrid was the first Boucher guitar to arrive here at The Minor Chord. Right away, we were impressed with the quality of craftsmanship, and sound of the instrument. Featuring all high-quality woods and materials, Boucher doesn't cut any corners. The Brazilian mahogany and AAAA grade Adirondack spruce top is a winning combination. Each top is hand selected by Robin Boucher himself.

Punchy, sweet, woody, and balanced. For one guitar that does it all, we've always recommended the OM. Strumming, fingerpicking, singing, it doesn't matter. We encourage you to come see what Boucher is all about. $3,644.00 in TKL Tweed Deluxe hardshell case.
